Remy AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by Epiphyte Gens LLC, registered in Miami, Florida, USA. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (“App”) and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, account login details obtained through Google or Apple Sign-In. When you log in with your account, we only receive the information you authorize (name, email, and profile photo). We do not have access to your Google or Apple password or contacts.
• Uploaded Content: Photos of dishes, text descriptions of cravings, and any other inputs you provide.
• Device & Usage Data: IP address, device type, operating system, app usage patterns, crash logs, and analytics data.
• Identifiers: Device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) used for analytics and advertising.

2. Permissions We Request

Our App may request access to certain device features. Each permission is used solely for the purposes described:

• Google and Apple Sign-In: Used for authentication and to associate your entries with your account. You can disconnect your Google or Apple account anytime from your Google or Apple settings or within Remy AI.
• Camera: To allow you to upload photos of dishes. We only access images you choose to submit.
• Storage: To temporarily store uploaded photos and cache data for performance.
• Internet Access: To connect to our servers, process your inputs, and deliver personalized recipes.

We do not access your microphone, contacts, location, or other sensitive permissions unless explicitly stated.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

• Generate personalized healthy recipes.
• Improve our AI technology and recipe database.
• Provide customer support.
• Deliver and measure the effectiveness of ads.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Storage & Retention

• Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud servers.
• Retention periods:
  • Uploaded photos and text inputs are retained for up to 24 months for AI training and quality improvement, then anonymized or deleted.
  • Account information is retained until you delete your account or request removal.
  • Usage and analytics data may be stored for up to 36 months.
• You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your data. We may share your information only with:

• Trusted service providers who help operate our App (e.g., Google Cloud, analytics providers).
• Third-party analytics and advertising services:
  • Google Analytics / Firebase: Collect device identifiers, crash logs, and usage data to improve app performance.
  • Meta Ads Manager: Tracks engagement data for advertising effectiveness.
    Each third party processes data according to its own privacy policy.
• Law enforcement or legal authorities, when required by applicable law.

6. Advertising & Cookies

• We may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and device identifiers to:
  • Analyze app usage and performance.
  • Deliver and measure ads.
• Ads may be personalized based on your activity and device identifiers.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful use).

8. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction (e.g., 16 in the EU/EEA).
If we become aware of such data collection, we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL).
• Encryption at rest on secure cloud servers.
• Access controls and monitoring to limit access to personal information.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. International Users

By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted in the App and/or on our website.
The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent changes.
